The Bordeira is the crater wall of the 10km diameter main crater off the island of Fogo. With a max. height of 1000m over the plateau of the Chã and covering about 250 degrees of the crater circle it is the most impressive natural feature of the islands. The classic alpine hike goes over the rim and is partly equipped with best quality via ferrata in the world. Absolutely unforgettable experience.
